Artist Statement

The concepts for my artwork stem from a long and deep fascination with Greek mythology and history combined with a great love of wild life and the sea. It is a culmination of my experiences so far in life; wandering down many well trodden paths in both Europe and here in New Zealand.

“The Nightmare” has many tentacles of thought, curious and questing with a lurking speed and strength to suddenly grab hold. Each one has the ability to change shape and squeeze through the smallest cracks of my subconscious mind.
